Aidan’s practice concerns a range of water, renewable energy, and emerging contaminants issues.

Aidan is an Associate in Marten's Portland office. He helps public and private clients comply with evolving water quality, cleanup, and other environmental regulations. He also litigates to defend his clients' interests in disputes arising under the Clean Water Act, the Safe Drinking Water Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, and federal and state cleanup statutes, among other laws. In the policy and transactional arenas, he counsels utilities, renewables developers, and property owners on environmental matters.

Aidan graduated summa cum laude in 2023 from Lewis & Clark Law School with a certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law. During law school, Aidan was a law clerk at the United States Department of Justice in the Environmental Enforcement Section of the Environment and Natural Resources Division, interned with California Coastkeeper Alliance, and worked at Marten as a summer associate. Aidan served as Associate Editor of the journal Environmental Law, received the Environmental Law Excellence Award, and was inducted into the Cornelius Honor Society. 

Prior to law school, Aidan worked as a news reporter in Northern California, covering local politics, crime, and environmental topics.

  • Represent municipal wastewater system in appeal of Clean Water Act discharge permit before state administrative hearing authority.
  • Represent family agricultural businesses in basin-wide water rights adjudication.
